Noise Conditioning?
When walking the puppy near houses he gets nervous because of sounds i cant even hear. Like people talking or dogs barking from a distance. I can walk him in a very quite area and that’s fine. But how can i convince him that noises around my neighborhood is okay when were on a walk? Should i just keep walking him in a quite place until he gets older? Should i play music in his dog house for him to just ignore it. Should i coax him with treats or should i stand there and let him listen until he starts walking? Thank you for all the help with my new puppy! |

oh when i stayed in the country were my parents still live i swhere i had Nelly and Kimbå i stayed 45min walk from the village and Nelly was my pup she got used to me tearing the ground up on my dirt bike and me and my pals driving on my quads shooting eachother with paintballs thats about as noisey as it got for Nelly and when she was fully innoculated Kimbå her and i went to the village she done fine wasnt scared of the new people she liked the butcher store as she got a ham the fish monger as she got some flounder fish she loved the smell of the bakery pastry store but she never got anything from there as she wasnt allowed she loved it and did until she died her first time away from the farm and she never pulled back in fear just forward out of curiosity but she done fine with smells people noises etc but then again different breeds different personalities i think my Nelly done well as she had Kimbå by her side if Kimbås not afraid why should i be? For the last 3/4 days my Milla has been with my parents Milla has apparently changed as she has been with Cassie the familys chocolate Labrador Cassie has helped train and look after her etc s i am looking into getting a Rott or Dobermann that is Cassies age (4years) to help mould Milla bimut i just have to come to a agreement with my partner lol but i wish you all the best if you were in a semi busy area like me i would have recommened in opening the windows at the busy time of day and plob his bed underneath it thats what helped Milla out well all the best!! |
