I know this will probably be a big debate but I am going to ask anyways....

What are your opinions on owning a wolf, and do you think the are a weak fragile species???

My opinion is that wolves should not be owned as pets, and that they are a species that thrives as long as they are given the chance.

My opinion is that they shouldnt be kept as pets, as you stated they are a weak species that thrives. I find that people are very fragile minded with animals look at peoples opinion with domesticated dogs that we have kept for years upon years look at the way people treat ad have the opinion of Pitbull type dogs, Boxer, Dobermann, Rottweiler, Mastini breeds etc why do people consider getting a wolf? Do they think that they make better pets? That there is less likely for a Wolf to attack/bit than a breed i named above?

In my opinion people are weak we throw away creatures that have been donesticated fir years and feel as if abWolf thats parents havent attacked someone in the whole 3years they have been alive for is going to change

I agree, people think of bully breeds (Pitbulls and rottweilers being the main two) as a breed that would easily turn on you and attck you, problem is these breeds have been domesticated for hundreds of years and normally the only reason they turn is because the owner was abusive and didn’t raise them right, I have seen a pitbull with cigarette burns all over his body that still never turned on his owner and still loved on them and submitted to them. Honestly if someone burnt me with a cigarette, I’d wanna bite them if I were a dog.

On the other hand you have a wolf, not a breed of dog, not domestic, never has been domestic. A powerful canine with the ability to take down an animal three times his size, smart enough to survive harsh weather and critical situations, and brave enough to defend it’s territory to the bitter end. We have people trying to take this wonderful amazing animal and try and tame it’s natural behaviors.

Wolves are not dogs, they are not mans or womans best friend, when you try and tame them you are taking what comes naturally to them and trying to zap it out, this will never be possible. They are to smart, strong, and brave of a creature to take that so they get frustrated because they are unable to do whats natural and it builds up for so long that finally they just snap on you.

The grey wolves are starting to overpopulate and are no longer an endangered species, the government wants to cut down the population so they don’t overpopulate and begin to starve. People are against this, I however am for it, I would rather have a few wolves shot to maintain the balance of predator and prey then have them overpopulate and kill off all their prey and starve to death, this could bring down the hole population rather then the few they are going to kill. And send them once again to the endarged list.

People are now starting to think these hardcore preditors are able to be domesticated and tamed, because we did it once right? WRONG..... the wolf evolved, we have never tamed the wolf itself so I believe that people need to stop thinking they can make them pets, because in my personal and proffesional opinion that is just stupid.

I have nothing to say to contradict your post i agree with it 100,000% all i have to say to complete it is APBT, Am. Staffords, Staffords and English Bull were also bred to bring down things bigger than them eg. Bulls, Bears, Boars etc then that was outlawed so then they done ratting the rats population got controlled by that then they done dog fighting and what do people remeber these breeds for? DOG FIGHTING!! That is not what they were bred to do but people are SO small minded they dont want to believe that they were bred to bring down Bulls, Bears etc but want to know them as vicious dogs that hate other animals and believe they go for people by nature but yet again if they looked at there history they would find thay dogs that nipped, bit, attacked people were killed amd never bred from

So what makes Wolves better? There a wild mystical creature everyone adores... WRONG!! I LOVE Bears from the cute baby looking Panda to the Grizzly brear do you see me getting a Black Bear and tying a XL dog collar and leash set to it?!

I also agree that people that havw Raccoon and Hedgehogs as pets is a no no too

if i may say i LOVE all my pets but if i never had a huge love for all animals i eouldnt have them i dont evan think having a dog, cat, rabbit, gerbil and fish etc etc etc is correct i think no animal should belong to a human no matter how well cared for it was

My point exactly! These are started by small minded people that pass this hearsay on to others who believe it and they pass it onto others also like a big game of Chinese whispers! And what makes Wolves more domesticated than the American Pit Bull and other Pitbull type dogs?

I don’t think wolves should be owned as pets, they are not demesticated animals. They are wild, so no, they should not be pets. And no they are not weak.

The reason I asked if you thought they weak is because some girl that knows nothing about wolves aparentlt tells me that they are a weak fragile species.

i do not agree with wolves being kept as pets, i love wolves but would not have one. this is one of the reasons i have NI’s, they are bred to be a family dog with the looks of the wolf but with no wolf content
