 Puppy Vs Puppy

Im wondering how i can introduce two puppies, one at 10 weeks old and the other is 5 months old. The larger one is just two rough with the little puppy, i try to calm the older one down but it takes about 30 mins, after that he’s fine and not running around and tackling the other puppy or biting a bit to hard. The only problem with the small puppy is that he does alot of rough play, for example growling, yelping, barking, fighting i guess, but in a mixture of play and excitement. We try not to let the smaller puppy play like that but is there any techniques on introducing puppies with such a big age difference? Should they not be introduced again till older? what are your suggestions.

Personally i would just leave them. My APBT pup Milla is 16weeks and since she was 8weeks she has played with ny parents 4y/o chocolate Labrador Cassie when i go over to visit them. and boy do they play rough! Milla is the insinuator she winds Cassie up and they both play with eachother teeth and claws.
You will need to remeber a puppy will yelp, whine etc before your other dog or a strange dog actually does anything to them weather its to attack or evan play, remeber the other dog isnt your puppys litter buddy so its a strange dog to rough house with.
Also dogs play is to us rough looking with all those big teeth flying around but its jymust the same as us pushing eachother and punching eachother on the arm in a playful/wind up fashion.
But personally i would just leave them to there own accord its good for dogs to interact with eachother and its better if your pup plays with your other pup as other people arent so "understanding" about dogs "fighting" when there actually just playing.

Rough play is normal in dogs, in all actuallity, their not playing rough to their standards, only yours. When I entroduce zoe to the danes I thought I was going to die of a heart attack because they were being so rough with her, I was scared they’de hurt her but she got rough right back with them and it didn’t bother her a bit. Now we have to worry about the danes, cause even though their 2 feet taller then zoe, she’s ready to take someone down in a second. lol. It’s just good healthy play.

My suggestion to you would be, take the bigger one for a nice long walk before letting them meet again. Then take the two of them to a nutral area and let them play first, if all goes well there. Then move on to the house. But it just sounds to me like normal puppy play. Dogs have thick hides, what hurts us, doesn’t hurt them. They like to play rough. It’s in their nature. So let them do it. Only worry when hackles are raised and their acting agressive towards each other. Don’t worry about rough play, puppies have rubbery bones. Their fine.

The puppy raises its hackles sometimes when he’s on his back. the bigger dog doesnt really get angry he stops right when the puppy throws a fit, than there back at it.
