My question is what the hell happened to your dog?! this sounds like it was put through abuse not just an operation. When a dog gets neutered nothing should be appearant but a scar. I think you better go at whoever did this to your dog this doesnt sound right at all. eyebrows shaved off???!!! snout missing hair???!!! and a hurt paw???!!! i think its time to sue this so called vet! Your dog was put through torture! you need to stand up and speak out for your dog!!! This is absolutely not normal, did you even ask them what happened?

Are both dogs acting this way or just the bouv’ . I would ask the staff at the vets . I mean normally after a procedure dogs and cats tend to be a bit mopey and it can linger fro about two days until they start acting fine but as far as the limping and hairloss around the snout . Thats another story you need answers to. I d say the hairloss could be from him recovering in a cage and he might of rubbed his nose on the cage door while recovering from anesthesia. But I would still ask the hospital staff if something happend to him while he was under there care. A good hospital should always provide there clients with any info regarding your pets stay there. And if I were you I would nt go accusing anyone of any wrong doing. I would just go and talk to someone in charge and nicely ask for an explanation. I know I would hate it if poeple were to accuse me of abusing animals. Dont get me wrong it sucks if your dog got hurt while at the vets, and if they were negligent in any way then they should pay but I would nt go in there guns blazing. Find out what happend first. Then if you dont get answers. Then I would pull out the bazookas and start destroying hamster brain. :)

*Adds het two sense in*

Believe it or not dogs develop allergies... and while not noticable to many some have the same reaction we do...but rather then a "rash"they have hairloss... he went through several things the anesthesia, the antibiotics, and latex gloves could coax the missing hair... the rubbing of nose on cage could cause it, between these two I have NEVER heard of a dog coming out of a simple operation "shaved" the only places they shave are around the area they are working and thats it... you need to follow the others advices...snap pictures and call the vet...and as for the moping and limping... think about what you just had removed.... they get a bit "tired"when they recover from the procedure...it takes some longer then others, and since he is seven..... the limping could be a possibility he slept wrong and might be sore..

I try to rule out the possibility of "abuse" from vets until theres no other explaination left... keep us posted

Well you know what there is absolutly no reason or excuse for shaving a dogs eyebrows off! And to wear off hair in the cage would take days, this isnt right.

Repti WHOAH right there..... as stated allergic reactions could be the cause as well... instead of jumping to conclusions because of a comment I made...stop think BREATHE...I know damn good and well there is no excuse...but I want you to think and consider something....

If a vet did shave off the eyebrows...notice IF.... they would have to give a reason why.....

Now besides the solution of allergies and rubbing I have one word...Fabrication? a weaving of tale? Ive seen it happen but not once have I ever heard of a vet shaving the eyebrows why would they risk their career liscence being revoked to be abusive towards an animal knowing their JOB is on the line it takes one screw up and the lisence is pulled...Im sticking with fabrication of reality there werent enough details and right now I cant see why a vet would screw up like that unless the dog had an allergic reaction....and as for days? No darlin a dog can scratch its own hair off in a matter of hours not just by rubbing but by scratching its head with front and hind quarters....

I agree . Dogs can be quite compulsive and cause great damage to themselves if they try hard enough. You should post some pics of his eye brows and the hair loss. Your best bet is to confront your vet and ask what happend. End of story.

I just went through this on another forum here. Jumping to conclusions will get you no where. Remain calm and get the facts before you start flipping out. You may find a reasonable explaination and a lot of stress can be avoided.
