I’m pretty happy with what i have now,pythons,boas and a dog.The one thing i can’t have now that i would like is some type of large crocodillian,I’m sure i will have one at some point but i don’t think my landlord would like the basement filled with water...LoL.

My dream animal that I will probably never get to own, but would like to, is a Penguin. The animal that I really like and will probably get will be wallabies.

Hmm, quite a few for me:
Kangaroo! (yeah right, not in my dreams, lolz!)
A squid. (why not?)
A yellow cricket. (If those existed, then I want one! Don’t ask why...)
A dolphin
orca
bluefin tuna
a water bear! (they’re soooo cute!)
Harpy eagle (my absolute favourite birds!)
A dodo bird (if they were still around...)
Then I’d want a sea spider.

Lolz, alot of these I could never ever ever ever aquire, but if I could, not only meaning if they were available to me, but meaning that if I could care for one properly and have the right housing and the money, then I would. But I can’t so I won’t, lolz.

You can get a Kangaroo easy. I work at an exotic animal park and we have a baby red kangaroo named Boomer. But most get too big. Not only do they need a LARGE pasture and a companion. But also, most breeds get too large to ever be around. Even just playing if he were to kick you he could empale you with a claw in the stomach, drag down, and rip your guts out on accident. Groosum, but true.

If I could have any animal in the world..... Right now I want

3) Spotted Skunk (or 2?)
4)Red or Artic fox (or both?)

5) A Pokemon! lol. Charmander is adorable!

Hell i’m 43 and i’ll play along.
That cougar BooBoo has is pretty cool or a bear would be neat as well.It would be fun to form a bond with something like that and wrestle with like a dog knowing that the bites and swats are all in fun.We once had a nubian goat named Cookie,she was big for a nubian.That thing use to love running around chasing us then we’d turn and chase her back.She’d run and then prance about and buck a little.You can tell she was having fun.When she would chase you she would bump you with her head,come along side of you and turn her head into you to knock you off balance.You could pretend to rear up and bump heads with her and she’d always stop right at the last moment like she knew she would knock if she didn’t.I’m 6’3" and when she’d stand up on her rears she was as tall as me.That thing was attached to us like a child.That’s how I would want my dream pet to be,but I guess my kids are just as good little animals as one could ask for.

I think it’s interesting that people mentioned things like elephants and penguins that would absolutely NEVER be happy kept as your pet! These are wild animals that belong there: in the wild. Or else in wildlife preserves or rescue centers with the space, resources, vets, and knowledge to care for them properly. Just because your favorite pet is an elephant, does not mean you should keep one as a pet!

Anyway, the animals I would most want are the ones I have. I love them a lot. And, if you want a specific one, I suppose rats and dogs in general are my favorites, but then there are rabbits and bearded dragons and chickens and turtles and guinea pigs and leopard geckos and tarantulas and ball pythons and...most anything that is domestic or does well as a pet.

My favorite animal is probably a chimpanzee. I got to work with a couple of infants whose parents were killed for bushmeat and who were used in witchcraft for about three years before coming to the rescue (totally separately). I loved them and loved working with them, but I would never ever want to have one as a pet! They belong in family groups with lots of space, trees to climb, things to eat, etc., not locked in a house.

Anyway, I will post pictures of Sara, one of the chimps, tomorrow when my internet is working better.

Luckymebeardie, I would choose 2 cougars. I got to play fetch with 2 cougars last year in a 2 acre outdoor landscaped cage. I will NEVER forget that experience. NEVER. No dog or cat could ever compare to what that was like.
