LOL. Im glad to see that you dont regret it. But yea, I have seen so many pot bellies that are supposed to stay under a certain weight and they never do. They are usually 100# plus. Enjoy your little piggy, though!

Lol, I was wondering what happened to you.. I remember you posting about getting it awhile ago. Its too bad so many breeders will lie to move their piglets.. They’re great animals anyway, hopefully you’ll be able to house it. Have you tried teaching it any tricks? Pigs are very intelligent animals, supposably smarter than 3 year old humans. You can get them to do some pretty amazing tricks, and they’ll appreciate the mental stimulation.

All pot bellied pigs are miniature. When you see "Miniature Pot Bellied Pigs", that could mean the pig may be 70-170 pounds. That is miniature when you compare it to a "regular" pig that weighs 1,000 lbs, that’s how and why it got that name. So, the person you got your pig from did not tell you a lie there. A lie is though when the breeder tells you it will weigh only 25 pounds, that is a definite lie. Yes, there are some pretty small pigs, but they are usually either sick, abnormal or they are being starved just enough not to kill them so they will sell. Maybe that’s what happened in your case but you actually fed him/her. I’m glad you did if that was the case.

Also- The pot bellieds are all the same type breed and all came from the same origin/place; Vietnam and like countries. Sure some look different, but they have been imbred and/or starved to look that way, not because they are some "special", "teacup" kind. The technical and correct full name of these pigs is "Miniature Vietnamese Pot Bellied Pigs."

We actually breed pot-bellies and they range from 60-200 pounds. It really depends upon how much you feed them. If you overfeed them, they will get fairly large, ie 125 or so. We have a couple that are rescues that are around 200 and thats huge for a pot belly. You also have to look at the weight distribution on a hog. Our Stinkerbell is only about 75 pounds and perfect, I wouldn’t reccommend starving them to keep them around 25 pounds. You need to REALLY research any species before committing. Animals should never be IMPULSE buys.
