 Tests?

No real reason for this post since no large enogh body of people care enogh. any way i think u should legaley have to take a test before buyingANY Animal. i think this would help abuse so animals did not go to inept people.

That could help but if that ever happens it could be a very long time. Ive heard people saying the same thing about children. That parents should take a test before getting pregnant to have a child who wont go into an abusive or neglectful family. But that hasnt happened. If they decide to do tests like that for pets they will give it to parents first becuse most people will think children are more important than animals. But thats just my two cents. Who knows it could happen though.

Um, I agree to an exstent. Like hamsters and small lizards and other ’common pets’ I think shouldnt matter but once you get to a Bearded Dragon or Chinchilla and anything bigger this would be a good idea.
But you should be allowed to use your *hand written* notes on the test and it can’t be very long.

But really if they want to neglect the animal they can do so without failing a test...

I used to believe that this was a wonderful idea. I’ve discovered that our world probably wouldn’t function properly. If we had all of these tests, a lot of people wouldn’t have jobs. We wouldn’t really have a beed for therapists, social workers, animal protection departments, animal rights organizations, etc. It would be nice if every single living thing on earth were treated humanely and correctly. I believe that our world wouldn’t function properly with all of these tests.
Keeping track of these tests would be too confusing. There’d be millions of tests that need to be taken, possibly billions. Can you fathom how long the wait would be if someone just wanted to get a puppy?
Our population would decrease a lot. It would eventually any way.
When you put a lot of thought into this idea, you realize what a bad idea it is.
And in reality, it just wouldn’t work.
People would still be able to illegally gain pets without taking tests and such.

that would be sooo good!! becase there wouldnt be animal abuse and hardly any animals would be in shelters (thats a good thing) becase i work at one.. its sad becase the shelter i work at has animals that has been abused.. its so sad.. but i agree with you.. they should look at your profile to see what kind of person you are before buying an animal.. even if its a hamster or somthing. :)

Animalfreak123, that’s not true!

Even if some one had a clean record and they passed an examine that allows them to own pets, they could still be abusive. Exams wouldn’t stop animal cruelty. Nothing really will.

There’d still be tons of animals in shelters. Millions of animals would still suffer and die. Owners would still get rid of their pets when they have problems. There’d still be strays.

This idea is very unrealistic. America doesn’t have the time, the money, or the man power to do some thing like this.

Exams don’t ensure a damn thing.
