 Giant pouched rats?

I just recently found out what they are and I find them to be really interesting animals. So I was wondering if anybody owns or has had experience with them?

P.s I am not to sure I want one just wanted to learn about them.

I researched them. They are illegal in the US but you are in Canada? There are breeders there. Apparently they are very easy to care for. One difference besides diet from fancy rats is that they are solitary. So you only need to have one. And they are big of course. I believe they get to 4lbs. I’ve seen that people keep them in large rabbit cages, but personally I would go for something like a large cat cage or a custom cage. And plenty of out time. There are two different kinds, although I’ve yet to learn the difference. Gambians and Emins giant pouched rats. I’m might smuggle one on the way home from my Canada trip ;) Shhhh. =)

I have a large 2 story ferret nation cage that is no longer in use so I just started looking on the internet to see if their was something I might look into getting. (I do live in Canada)

Right now I definitely could not get one ,but in the future I could see myself with one lol.

After reading that I am very interested in getting one. They just seem like an animal that fits me.
It even said that sometimes they will get along with domestic rats(of course supervised)
