They’re illegal in most states in the US. Since New Mexico is in the south I’m going to guess they’re illegal, but hey I could be wrong. They started being illegal in Florida...because people in Florida like to take big animals from one place [when they’re small] and let them go there [when they’re big]...where they then start problems whether it be eating cats or spreading monkey pox...I’m sure you could do a google search to find out what states they are legal in.
