Roly-poly / doodle bugs as feeders I recently saw an add in the King snake classifieds offering roly-poly bugs as feeder insects. I can’t really seem to find any information about their use as feeders. Anyone know if they are safe for beardies ? It seems like their shell would be hard to digest.
-Thanks

Roly-poly / doodle bugs as feeders lets see, no. no. and no. I’ve had pill and sow bugs (roly polys as you call them). They have a very hard shell for such a small amount of food. Plus I do belive they’d have problem digesting the bands. pill bugs get diseased easily even if they aren’t wild. I wouldn’t risk it.

Roly-poly / doodle bugs as feeders ahh alright, Thank you. I’ve been looking for a feeder w/o the expense of crickets or silkworms or the stigma of roaches ( I was forced to give up my turkistan colony ). Guess I’ll keep looking
