 Thawing frozen mice

So I decided to add rodents to some of my lizards’ diets and I was just wondering the best way to thaw them out. I know that microwaving them is bad, plus I think my girlfriend would shoot me if she caught me nukeing mice. I’ve seen a little mouse thawing thing in the pet store that’s like a clay jar with a platform on top, you fill the bottom with hot water, and put the mouse on the platform up out of the water and it thaws there, but this seems like a gimmicky waste of money..

Just hold the frozen rodent under hot water until it is completely thawed out.

just put it in a plastic bag, close the bag. fill a sink with fairly warm water, and float the bag in the water. keep it there for 20 minutes. After that, feel the bag, if the mouse is still cold, put it back in the water.

Do you mind me asking what type of lizards are eating these?

I like the plastic bag idea so the mice won’t get soggy.

I’ve got a timor monitor that’s getting full size mice, a chinese water dragon that’s getting fuzzies, and a brown basilisk and a collared lizard are getting pinkies.

I put my mice in a quart plastic container and fill it will warm water....when they are thawed I fill it with the hottest water the tap will give me. I throw the mouse in the water and the fur gets wet, adding moisture to my snakes diet. My corns and boas take them wet or dry...doesn’t seem to matter.
