 Basics to breed mice??

Does anyone breed mice on here as im thinking about breeding them as it would proberly end up being cheaper than buying half a dozen frozen ones each week.....

Just like to know the basics about breeding them, ive heard its not difficult or anything but is there a set cage size to what they need or just small things that anyone knows about getting max results out of them lol

I really dont much at all about mice so any info is greatly appreciated.

first you’ll still have to buy mice for a couple months after you start breeding them and you’ll still have to buy after you get the colony established (unless you get a huge colony). theirs no set cage size but try not to get it too crowded keep it at a 1 to 4 ratio (one male four females) but is not that hard you put the male in with the females he does his thing and when a female is close to giveing birth (looks like she ate a golf ball) separate her from the group and keep her with her babys untill they start eating solid food and keep the babies seprate from other adults untill they are adults

yea its not hard just make sure they all have food, clean water, and the cages are clean expesialy the ones with babies (they will eat the babys if they dont have all that)

i rambled a little but i think you’ll get the idea

This may help.
With these 20 lab cages I feed all of my Animals, sell my surplus and buy my Lab blocks with them.

Breeding your own feeders is the best way to go, at least you’ll know what they are eating.
Some breeders feed their prey items dog food. YUCK!!
You are what you eat, so feed your prey items a good diet!
