Feed for ASF rats???
Does anyone know what would be best to feed my African soft furred rats? I’m not sure if i should feed them rat food or not since they in no way reach rat size. If anyone can help i would appreciate it. These are feeders for my snakes so i want them fed well since their health equals my corns health.

Feed for ASF rats??? I feed our ASF’s my own homemade dry mix. It consists of regular lab block that I smash up a bit (it’s so darn huge), plus some good quality cat kibble and then some parrot seed/nut mix. They get this daily and then a couple of times a week I offer them so fresh greens and a bit of leftover dry bread to nibble on. They seem to be doing very well on this - big healthy adults and loads of litters born.

Feed for ASF rats??? I make my own feed mix as well. I mix parakeet seed (mainly millet) with rodent block, hamster food, ferret food, guinea pig food, and timothy hay. Once a week I give them dried carrots and every other week I give them some fresh greens. I throw various other things in as treats every so often too. I am averaging 12 babies a litter and getting a litter every 3-4 weeks. I am looking to add mealworms as a snack as well, just haven’t picked any up yet

Feed for ASF rats??? We feed ours just about the same things as FrankyKeno. They get Mazuri lab blocks (although we will switch them to harlan 18% very soon), and they get a bowl of seeds, fruits, super worms, and looooove the millet seed!
