I am in the CA bay area. I have gone to petco and a few other pet shops and have only had 1 litter of mice out of 8 months and not sure how many groups. I have been doing 1m:5F mix. I have been told by a new breeder friend that petshop mice are the worse to buy! to buy from a lab or some one who has a good one going. So I am looking / asking... Were did you get your mice / mouse to start off the groups from? Im in the 94565 zipe code area.

Best way to go is look into reptile shows in your area go and see if they have live pray animals. If they do you know they are breeding well because they have extra mice. Try not to get white ones colored mice breed better. Also along with the food you give them already feed them dog food when mice get fat instincts tell them to breed. Make sure it is not low fat or low protein or it wont help. Look on the side of the bag it should tell you % less then 15% protein or 25% fat wont do much. I use diamond hi energy formula and I’m a pray breeder.
