 Wild Feeder Insects

Can I collect wild insects from a pesticide free area. If so what insects can I feed.I need responses before I feed wild Insects, any are helpful.

There’s usually no guarantee that because the area you know of is pesticide free that the bugs you’ll collect will be as well. Some can fly you know... :) Just kidding.

Anyway, I’ve fed my Western Fence Lizards rolly pollies and moths... I’ve tried those really annoying June bugs that irritate the hell out of everyone in the summer here in California but they must annoy Lizards as much as they do people cuz they didn’t touch them.

A lot of people do rolly pollies... I’ll give my Lizards an occassional one when I see them crawlin around outside but I’d never give them to my Leopard Geckos...

I fed my spotted salamander and grey treefrog rollies, they are under wet stones in gravel. In the spring/summer I think I’ll give em to my American Toad
