Appropriate Dog food for feeder rodents

I have begun breeding mice and I’m beginning to see why people feed dog food over petstore mouse food. Mice go through those bags like nothing else. :)

So my question is, what is a cheap dog food that will provide me with healthy mice, and therefore healthy snakes. I know the guidelines are just for it not to have red dye and have more than 15% protein, but I just wanted to know what brand you guys use and how much it is per bag.

i use harlan teklad rat blocks but if you are going to use dog food the only one i like and recommend is nutro natural choice lite. it is readily found at pet stores. oh and most pet stores sell garbage like kaytee blocks which are trash anyway. depending on what size bag it is 5 lbs. around 8-10 bucks, 20 lbs. 18-25 bucks, 40 lbs. 26-35 bucks. but it’s cheaper online. i have looked into wellness, blue buffalo, halo, etc. and this is the only one i find with good protein levels/fat levels. a close second would be d-i-ck (without hyphens) van patten’s natural balance ultra reduced calorie formula.
