 Self impregnant!!
my rat had babies and she wasnt even around a male!!!! i had her for about 6 months and she just popped today with no male??? i have had her have babies before and i split her up so she could have another litter and since her babies were feeders i sent them off while still pinkies. i than left her in the cage with another FEMALE friend for about another 3 weeks and she had another litter!! infact they both had a litter!! but she hasnt seen a male since november 20th! so she gave birth dec 18th, i got rid of the babies at 2 weeks, now another litter january 10th no male

If she was with the male when she had her first litter, before you separated her, he impregnated her the same day she had the babies. The female will then retain that sperm until the length of time that her first litter should be weaned before having the second litter. No mystery here.

she wasnt with the male when she had her first litter i seperated her 3 weeks before her first litter... and she poped again another 3 weeks later......
