What to feed Dubia roaches

I’m sick of working with crickets. I bought some dubia roaches today to start a colony. I was feeding my crickets ground up cat food with a little powdered milk along with some greens or veggie scraps. Can I feed these roaches the same thing? I have search for an answer to this and found conflicting info. Some say no cat food, only dog food, while others say absolutely no dog food, only cat food.

I’d like to at least finish off this bag of cat food if I can as I do not own a cat and have no other use for it, but I’m up for suggestions if anyone has a better recipe for dubia roach food.

I feed all of my roaches and crickets the same thing; dog food,horse pellets and slices of carrots and potatoes.
The problem with cat food is most of the time its very high in meat protein, and salt, both of witch aren’t too good to roaches.........

depends on what king of roaches you want to feed. If you want turkistans, about the size of crickets, then go to www.thebugpros.com. Thats where I get mine from and I paid somewhere around 40 bucks for 2,000 of them.

what kind of squash?

They like oranges and bananas.

I offer mine cat food, chicken starter feed mixed with fish flakes, carrots, oranges, bananas, and potatoes.
