 The tail

My western fence has recently lost her tail. I know this is normal but do I need to put and disinfectant on it? How long will it take to grow back? It is about 2 inches.

thanks for any answers.

If she just dropped it I recommend some neosporin, make sure it doesn’t have any numbing stuff in it. Just get plain neosporin.

Its antibacterial and it promotes quick healing so that your lizard doesn’t risk an infection from an open wound. You gently apply it to the injured area after washing and drying the wound. Remember, be gentle.

Any antibacterial ointment should work but you want to make sure it has no extra stuff in it. I said neosporin because it is a common ointment in the US. Might not be common else where.
