 Spiny question

Hey, Im an experienced texas spiny lizard breeder. And I no that males have blue and yellow on their side and have longer tales. And I no females don’t. But today I just caught a Crevice or Desert Spiny and it has the blue and yellow. But has a short tale, and what looks like a females cloaca.
Im very puzzled.. :0
Do yall got any pics? and or comments?

thanks

lol. this is a fence lizard forum. people who visit here don’t know about spiny lizards. you should try the horned lizard forums... those might be more helpful.

 Spiny question

Spiny lizards are in the same genus as fence lizards, horned lizards aren’t. Fence lizards and Spiny lizards are technically the same thing.

 Spiny question

It is most likely a male if it has all those colors (to attract females they bob their head so watch it carefully for a while.
