 Gender in Same Cage Question??

My son found 5 blue bellied lizards, three adults and two babies in Gold Run, CA. They are now a part of our family and I know nothing about them. We have two adult males and one female...does anyone know anything about the safety of having them all in the same cage? It appears that four of them hang out together regularly but one of the adult males seems to hide away. I don’t know if he’s sick, or if it’s a territorial gender issue?

Any advice would be great as we continue on our new voyage of Western Fence Lizards! :)

these lizards are generally fierce fighters, i’ve seen it first hand in the field. cage size would make a difference and size difference between the two males would also be a factor. or it’s possible that your hideaway male is unusually timid, who knows? just watch for fighting and make sure everyone get’s their fair share of food...good luck with your peace loving lizard!!!
