 Another Rescue

Stubby; note her poor tail is missing, and she has bite wounds on her back.

Stubby’s belly. No wounds on her belly, a very good sign.

This is another female I rescued from the jaws of feline death today. She is another young lizard, probably a year old. She was treated with a bath of electrolyte solution to rehydrate her, which did pep her up considerably. Then she was treated with Reptile Relief. I put neosporin antibiotic ointment on her stub and her bite wounds. Now she is resting in her critter keeper. It will take her weeks to regrow her tail.

If she doesn’t succumb to infection she will join my colony when she is mended. I will know in a few days whether or not she will survive, but these lizards are tough little creatures, and with a little TLC and all the crickets she can eat, I am optimistic.
