You can house two females, or a female and a male. Never two males.

U can have two males together if they are not really hipper,
this is what they look like.

Male:
They have dark blue bellies and light blue spots on their backs.
Female:
Usually have light bellies but can have dark ones too, they have dark backs not blue spots, black and brown spots only.

I hope that was helpful!! =)

This took me a bit of time to do, between taking the pictures and getting the lizard to cooperate, to uploading them on my computer to cut and crop and design.

I did it for your knowledgeable needs!

Now, there are two pictures in the one picture. The main picture is the lizard near a dime and a gold dollar; this is for size reference. This lizard is still a baby as you can see, and yet hasn’t reached it juvenile stage, IMO. He’s close to it, but not yet there.

The picture in the bottom left hand corner of the picture is a close up of his vent. Below the / (lines) are his two enlarged post anal scales...

This lizard is definitely a male! He may not be a eastern fence lizard, but for sure he is of the same specie. Just a mild sub specie.

and a full view link.... Link

Must view it at 100%.

Gracias!

Ok i have this lizard that is a western blue belly and i thought its was a girl, it has a back like a female and a belly like a male. This lizard has the little scales at the end but its getting older its about three to four inches long. Is it girl or boy???

If it has two enlarged post anal scales near it’s vent, it’s a male.
