New, I have questions. 
Today my two year old daughter caught a baby fence lizard (blue belly). I was thinking of keeping it. Do they make good pets? They are very common around us, I never thought of keeping one as a pet. Right now it is in a 10 gallon tank with a screen top, I put cocanut shavings for the bottom, uv light, baked rocks and oak branch. We do own a bearded dragon and a camilaon so I already had all of that stuff. I have a basking lamp, but I have to get a new bulb. What should I feed it? The crickets we have are to big. We raise crickets but we do not have any pin heads right now. After I put it in the tank, it burrowed by one of the rocks, is that normal? Should I try to feed it tonight? Or let it settle?
Oh, my daughter has named it Bluie, she is very excited.....

I guess I will jump in. Do they make good pets? Well, many of us have them. I am fascinated with mine. They are very cool lizards. Sounds like you have a pretty good setup. These lizards like hideouts and things to climb on. They do bury themselves and burrow typically at night. I primarily feed my lizard crickets and occasionally meal worms and wax worms. You might want to make a trip to a pet store for some mini crickets. Other than that, I think you are good to go. good luck and feel free to look around this forum for some invaluable info and never hesitate to ask questions.

2 males will get territorial and fight. I think a 10 gallon is too small for 2 fence lizards. A male and female would work in a 20 gallon. That is my opinion only. Best of luck.
