Im so happy... Thank you for this pic. I now know I have a male western fence lizard. Thanks. How kewl. His name is psycho because he is a blast. He also lives with 3 green anoles all of them caught at Bayden Lake NC. They get a long great of course he is the king of the castle. He gets along with Alex the male anole as well as the two females. They are all pretty big.
Thanks for the pic he is a beauty. whats his name??

That looks like my emerald swift, they are the same thing, I have been told.And it is a male. Does he look like mine on top? You can see the blue on his belly. Sorry its not a closer shot.

Not entirely true. I once had a female Bluebellied fence(River) who had a bit of dark blue on her stomach. And yes, I’m sure that she was a she.

down here i CA we can tell male frum female western fence lizard by looking at the belly and if there are 2 blue stripes down the belly its a girl and 2 blue stripes and one across the neck(like in the pic) its a boy. its worked for me and i have been caching and rasing them for 5 years

Im surprised nobody told him how bad it is to mix species. You cannot have two species in the same enclosure. If I were you, I would release the green anoles or the fence lizard or keep them in separate tanks. DO NOT KEEP THEM TOGETHER

I have a green anole, a long-tailed grass lizard and a small brown anole in one 20-gallon long vivarium. They get along just fine. I’ve never seen them fight or interact in any way. Is there any danger in this?
