 Catching Skinks

Will someone help me learn to catch five line skinks? They are everywhere at my friend’s house, and her dad (and her) want them, or at least some, gone! And of course, I want them, they call me over when they see them, knowing I’m the lizard guy. They are quick little guys, we saw two within 5 minutes of eachother yesterday. So there are plently there, I just want to know how to catch them. Since it is not my house I will not dig holes or put up anything more than a trap under a bush. Thanks in advance!

Danny

Actually 5 lined skinks are pretty easy to catch and keep. Be a bit careful on adults, they bite but it doenst really hurt. Try not to break their tails and keep them from stressing......move slowly to them....when you are within 2 feet, get low and with a quick tap put your hand over them, never try to actually grab them, hold them down lightly with your palm then slowly expose their head and secure them. but yeah, if you keep em, they make good pets and can be tamed. i own a few, they eat very readily with good temps.
