 In What Area
Come on, some one in here must know in what type of area can i find a western hognose snake. i live in billings montana and am really into herping even though my parents hate it. please i need some help with this. I really enjoy catching hognose snakes. i come from northern jersey and used to go herping all the time with my uncle and used to catch easterns every once in a while, but i haven’t been able to find even any signs of them, please give me some info.

hognoses are kindof hard to find by just looking for a certain area, they dont generaly hide under cover like most snakes, the most advise I could give you is look in areas with sandy/loose soils
