 I live in kentucky

elizabethtown specifically, if you know where that is

i was just wondering if there were any tricks to finding and catching garters?
its winter now of course, but when it starts to get hotter
i want to try and find some snacks

tips would be VERY appreciated

Garters should be pretty easily found. Ive seen those rock walls down that way, you can check in them. Other than that you can "seed" some sites yourself with tin, carpet, old plywood, some plastic tarps ect... and check on them this spring after they have moved from their hibernaculum. You can also check around old barns, which should be pretty prevalent in your area. Good luck in your herping.
