 Homemade Snake hooks/tongs

I’ve made snake hooks and field hooks at home. JB weld works as a glue should you go that route, but I’ve found an easier way. Again, using an old golf club, cut the head of and leave the hollow handle. Go to a hardware store and find a rafter hook (the ones used for hanging bicycles or the L or G shaped hooks). These are handy because they have a threaded end, and are rubber coated. Buy a small piece of rubber hose also. Measure the length of the threaded hook and cut the hose to that length. You may need to cut it length-wise also to make it fit. Insert the hose into the club leaving only a small lip in the open. Insert the threaded hook and start threading it into it. It will fit tightly. I prefer the L shaped hooks with the slight angle on the end, though they are not suitable for pinning.
