Sunburst Wag Platy Unexpected Birth I have two Sunburst Wags and the female unexpectedly gave birth. I happen to have a cage divider because I’m expecting my Dalmatian Mollies to give birth. I need to know everything from, how long does it take to give birth to a full batch, to how many are in a batch, if they will eat there babies, what supplies do i need, and how long do i keep the babies separate from the rest of the tank. Any information on Sunburst Wags will be helpful. Thanks!

Sunburst Wag Platy Unexpected Birth I’d say about 80 percent of fish out there will eat their young. On a Dalmatian it may be hard to tell. But you may see right where the caudal/anal fin is, it will start to get dark. That will be the head and the eye of the fry you see.
If you have lots of plants and your fish are well fed they may be okay. You’ll lose some but that’s the cycle of life. That’s how I run my setups.

Pregnant Dalmatian Molly? Help Please I have three female dalmatian mollies and one male. I’m pretty sure all three females are pregnant but one of the females has been hidding under a bridge and looks like she is wiggling in place. Could this be a sing that she is ready to give birth? Also, any other info on Dalmatian mollies would be great. Thanks!
