 HELP!!!! MY BETA IS ILL!!!! i dont want to lose him!!

this morning when i woke up, i went to feed my beta(twister), and half of his face was swollen. i immediately took him out, put him in a clean container, and started cleaning his tank. heres a picture



im going to the pet store today, really soon, so im gonna find a beta thing too help him. he was the best fish and i dont want to lose him. i know im making a big deal, but hes my favorite.
please tell me what to do.

Looks like he might have "pop-eye." There’s meds for that disease at any pet store.

"pop eye"? ok thanks. i went to the pet store yesterday and got water purifier and some stuff for bacterial disease. for the water i have him in, it said to give him 18 drops a day.
