New betta fish 
Hello all, so I went to wal-mart today to get some items that I need for my new tank. Like Water conditioner,betta food, stuff like that. Well I was looking at the betta’s and I saw this beautiful Dark blue/light blue/white tips on the fins betta. I was like I most have it. So I got him and a little vase on sell for like 2 bucks. Its not something he going stay in for more then a couple days till I gt my 10 gallon set-up and ready for him. Anyways the vase is like 1 gallon, so he should be fine for like 2-3 days in it. I will post pics of the fish and tank around monday or so.

Thats what I said when I saw that double ray crowntail betta at wal mart! Very pretty fish, like to know how they get such pretty bettas so cheap. I had a pink and yellow male from there once.

They go through breeders out side of the U.S.A. and get them for like under a dollar. Alot of 3 world country sell these fish for cheap to america and then they get rich from us and we get rich off them selling them really cheap. I saw a albino betta at wal-mart with blue fins. Very awesome fish just dint look healthy at all. I wanted to get him but for like 5 bucks, it would cost to much if he died in a week. So I got mine instead. His name is Cedric.

Cool name. Wal Mart seems to have that effect on fish. When I worked there alot of people brought back their dead fish in about a week.

I got one from wal-mart once that lived for 2 years.
My most recent beta Barbaro ( who passed away just a few months ago) also was from wal-mart and lasted over a year. Maybe just a double coincidence? lol

Alot of people tell me that betta’s from Wal-Mart die quick then others. Im hoping this one wont, im doing everything in my power to help prevent this.

Thats not just with the bettas thats with all of their fish, they take very poor care of their fish. I bought goldfish from walmart once, what gold fish doesn’t live? Seriously........ My betta didn’t eat for the first week I had him, after that he was fine. It’s just a new tank.

My betta eating now. I just had to buy a heat t keep the temp at 78 all the time. He loving it he very very activie for a betta. He loves to play with the water currents from the water filter. He just startd eating normally today agian. He had 3 pellets just now. So im very happy he happy.
