Message To: Chishower In reference to Message Id: 467420
i see this thread was written a year ago, (stumbled across it/here in a search on bettas) but hopefully there’s someone still around who can help me with a answer! chrishower wrote: Quote: to house female bettas together you need at least a 10 gallon well planted tank, and you have to have 5-6 bettas. If you dont, they wont have enough room to establish territories and if you only have two the dominant one will constantly be picking on the lesser female. I have females more aggressive than my males, if I were you I would just keep them apart. Solitary is good! :-) my question = what about one male and two females? i get the feeling that one-f and one-m wont work. oops - just got a fem last nite (gift) and since adding to tank, ive had to keep pretty vigilant, even put him in jar left floating in the tank for awhile. things have calmed down a little but its early morning still. any chance this is just establishing pecking order, and all could be well and peaceful soon with this combo? if not, what if i added one more female into the mix? my tank ist too smal to have more. thank you for your help!! ~zsu |
