Glass? Hello, I am planning to build a cage for a new Guinna Frilled dragon. The enclosure will be 6ft high, 4 ft across and 2ft deep. I am unsure of which kind of glass I should use.
The glass dimensions are roughly (I’m getting onto that later) Two pieces of 3ft across 5ft high glass.
I have heard of a type of glass that when it breaks, shatters into "blunt" pieces.
How much will this cost to buy?
I have also heard of a "toughened" glass. How expensive is this?
Which kind of glass should I use? what will that kind cost me?
thanks, Adzscott

Glass? most people just buy regular glass pieces or maybe i think plexiglass,
but do you have a big problem with things breaking that much?

Glass? Yea,, I agree with Ambigueos.. (sorry for the misspelling) but yea.. do you have a problem with breakage or you just worried that it might break in the process of building it?? I built a cage like your dimensions. It is 6 ft high, 3 feet wide and 2 1/2 feet deep. It is made of wood and then it has some cage and plexi-glass. Plexi is a little more expensive but it lasts and it is see through. It has a protective coating so when you buy it and when you put it in, keep it on so you wont scratch it. They can be bought in big pieces like at Lowes or Home Depot. Just ask them and they will show you. You can see the demissions. Andthey are actually right on what size you need. They had that for me so.. but here is a pic of my enclosure we built for our iguana and our mountain horned dragon (they were seperate but in the same enclosure, one on top and the other on bottom) the mountain horned died so now it is completley open for the iggy. Hope this helps!

You can see the iggy in the top right corner.. that gives you an idea of how big it is. The iggy is only 8 inches big anyways..

Glass? Thanks to both of you for your advice. I am slightly worried as my floor is made out of planks (some are uneven) and it is one pretty big enclosure. I’ll look into it (ask my local glass merchent)
Thanks
