How old are they? The red coloring makes me think Aussie but the pattern looks like NG..... Very nice!

The male is about 2.5 years old and the female is about 1.5 years. Thats why I bought for there color. I wanted to start a red phase NG. Here are some pics of my 2 Aussies females.

How do they get the red phase, is it cross with an Aussie or is this a color of some NGs. I heard it’s better to breed a female at or around the age of 2yrs.....Sorry for all the ???? I find it very interesting and I love FD. I hope your breeding plan is successful with the reds, I may want one :) The male is stunning!

Thank you, don’t worry about all the ???. Several years ago a lot of the NG’s imports coming into California were half Aussie. That’s probably were some of the NG’s get there color. I do love my male, he’s awesome!!!

As my male goes through his shed I am noticing color change of more reds on his head & belly. , not as red like yours but I see change. How long or at what age will it take for his full color to show.
