Here is Everest’s viv, it’s approximately 4 feet long by 5 feet tall by 2 feet wide. We finished building it in May

This is Evie in the enclosure before we put the fake plants in

You’re welcome :) It was built from scratch, we used birch for the frame, medium density fiberboard for the back, floor, and top, molding for decoration (and to hide screw holes), and 1/4 inch glass for the 8 windows. We put in a tile floor, vents for air flow, 3 lights (one white fluorescent for lighting, one heat lamp, one mercury vapor bulb lamp), the fencing for climbing, and pants for decoration and additional things for Evie to climb. She loves it, she didn’t have any relocation stress or issues from moving. Although we did allow her to go in it while we were finishing the decorating and lighting, so she had about a week of going in there din the evening, then back to her old viv during the night and while we were at work. So she had time to get used to the new home before fully moving in.

its similar to the sketches i have drawn up fo mine, just one more wuestion as your using doors like a wardrobe door do you have any problems with live food escaping thru the sides>?< or do you use the draft exclusion tape that is used on windows? because i was thinking of using the tape on mine basically because ... well you know how good live food is at escaping lol

Hey, I wasn’t thinkng right yesterday when I described the materials we used, we used poplar for the frame, not birch.

For the live food, we only feed worms for now, no crickets or roaches. So we don’t have any escapees. We also have a step up from the slate floor of about 1.5 inches to the door opening, the door hangs down below that step. So the worms would have to crawl up the step and then down along the door to get out. The doors stay shut on their own pretty well, we do have a latch that can hold them shut against the enclosure but we don’t use it. So for now, we don’t use any tape or anything, as we haven’t had a problem with food escaping. We also feed Evie her super worms in a dish filled with greens, so the worms usually stay in in the dish during the day until she decides to eat them or we clean the food dish out.. If she gets any horn or silk worms, she eats them before they have a chance to escape from the dish.

Here’s the floor of the enclosure, with the step up from the floor and the door, showing how it would fit in front of the step
