Cage for future frilled dragon So I am just about to start building a very large enclosure for myself. I am planning on getting one or maybe 2 frilled dragons in the near future and i want to build a cage now so i know if it will survive the vermont winter. I was thinking of making it 6.5ft tall, 6 feet wide and 3 feet deep. I am curious what i should put in it and what kind of live plants I can grow in it. I am also wondering what the best kind of substrate is to use. I was planning on making a cliff on the back wall with a waterfall going into a large waterhole/dish and several different kinds of plants on the cliff wall and on the ground itself. Thanks for any help i get!

Cage for future frilled dragon from what i’ve read, frilled dragons are very active, and would most likely shred any live plants so fake ones would be a better choice. i’ve tried a waterfall thing with another lizard, so just make sure it’s easy to clean. a constantly moist surface like that is likely to cause bacteria growth. also, seeing as how they poop daily in their water dish, just make sure it’s something that can be removed and cleaned easily. you’ll need to change the water every day, so if the waterfall includes a sump that pumps the water out of the dish and up to the top of the waterfall, just be aware that it can get tiresome having to take it out and re-set it up daily in order to clean the water, and most likely you’ll get tired of it, and you’ll cut back to changing it every other day, and then to every third day, and that can be incredibly unhealthy (not to mention, you’d be pumping poop down the waterfall...).
i wish you all the best with your dragon(s), and i hope the info helped. i know more about what not to do than what to do, so i know i wasn’t very positive, but i’ve learned from past mistakes with other lizards (no deaths involved or anything), and i just wanted to spread that info to you.

Cage for future frilled dragon not true. You can keep multiple frillys in one tank, but you can only have 1 male.
