While intensively reading a bearded dragon book for incubating eggs, i was looking in the back section on frilled dragons and i literally fell in love with the species. The babies look so cool, i want to see a frilled dragon running on two legs to catch something, and the book said most males will become tame and allow handling. I wanted to find out some opinions about how well they are as pets and if they are mostly docile or timid towards their owners.

well here goes some info on my male!!! frillies are actually shy or timid lizards and need lots of care/yes they seem to tame down very nicely/and it would almost seem that they actually seek human affection /but that could be debated ;however my frilly loves it when I’m around since we’ve established that I’m food source guy!frillies are not as easy to raise as beardies they are a better lizard in my opinion with incredible personalities/mine will play peek a boo with me/and I can tell when he’s hungry/he gets up on a certain spot and turns his nose up and it’s almost like he saying hey buddy wheres my food/and usually he won’t even let me put it in the cage ///he’s snatchin whatever it is out of my fingers!so heres a couple things to think of! frillies eat like you wouldn’t believe /mine has and will end up costing me literally hundreds of dollahs/thats just feeding him lighting and heating is also expensive and extremely important! other than that my frilly is one of my favorite lizards ever!they are expensive but as far as lizards go they are really cool pets!hope this helps Chip!
