 New Frilled Owner!!

Hey I am a new Frilled Owner and just got a young adult pair of Frillies, I was hoping based on a few pics you could help me out by identifying the sexes of the two frilleds. Currently they are in a 4’ x 2’ x 2’ enclosure, I am in the process of building a taller enclosure for when they are older. They are eating well and show no signs of aggression toward each other. I have had them for maybe 2 months now and they are approx 8 months old. Here are some pics dont know if this will help, also any comments or advice welcome.

The first two pictures are of the slightly smaller dragon, and the last two pictures are of the bigger frilled
the middle pic is a pic of the enclosure its only about 2/3 of the enclosure but it gives u an idea of the substrate in there and the cage decor.

Hello and welcome. Could you get some under the tail shots? And tell us how long they are?

scroll down in this forum and you can see i posted GREAT pictures of sexing frill dragons.

though if you have a female it doesnt all ways mean it will be female. sometimes its hard to see the hemi buldges and sometimes they dont apear till the dragon gets older. i thought i had a girl but wound up being a boy 3 months later.

make sure you keep your dragons warm durring the stressful first few weeks. no lower then 85 durring the day!!!

Hey sorry it took so long to get these pics, the first three are of the smaller frilled which is about 12.5 inches, and the last three are of the larger one, which is around 14 inches. (these measurements are snout to tail) Don’t know if these pics are ok, i was checking out your post on how to sex them and i noticed you raised the tail, where i just took pics of the flipside. Oh and the temp in my cage is around 90 during the day and then between 78 and 80 at night.

here are the pics.
1st frilled (smaller)

Second Frilled (larger)

Thanks for all the advice and any replies.

Well i am going to go with both females. Judging by there size at 8 months, frill size & pores. This really all depends on how they have been fed and if they grew at a normal rate.

I give them around 15 crickets a day(combined) as well as a few wax worms each. I dust the crickets twice a week fairly generously, But I just got them two months ago so I am not sure what the pet store was feeding them before that. Thanks for all the advice so far. I’ll have pics up of the new enclosure I am building in a few weeks when it has been completed.
