 Worried about my frill

does he seem scared, lethargic, darker colors then usual?

super worms are not good as daily feeders. they are really high in fat. and do risk impaction.

i recommend getting your frill dragon in a soak. 95-100 degree water half way up its body and let him soak for 15 min then change out the water for warm water again and continue doing this untill you see him poop. usually soaking in water will encourage deification (pooping).

you can also rub the tummy to feel for something wrong. typically you’ll feel the collen full of bowl movements (poops) and they should be pretty hard inside the stomach. use your best judgment

 Worried about my frill

:) then i wouldnt worry. just make sure he keeps his eating pattern. try feeding more crickets then supers. try feeding both in one day. i mean as long as you dont ALWAYS feed supers, like 3 months straight. u shouldnt have a fat lil frilly!!!
:)
the cooler weather is good for shipping silk worms too. they are expencive but yummy oh so yummy! also tomatoes/Goliath/tobacco worms (big bright green) are good feeders aswell

mulberryfarms.com

that is if you’d like to spoil ur lil guy!!!

oh and make sure you have a large enough water dish in the enclosure. for swimming. they rather dedicate in water then soil i’ve noticed(just in case u didnt read up about that)

and dont wry i usually spoil him with mice every 2 weeks and hissers/crickets on daily feed
and he have a large dish also :)

oh wow your half a world away!! wonderful. silk worms are GREAT. they are also good for digestive track. though i notice if you feed silks to much it causes loose stool. idk if thats a bad thing. probably not prob just over hydrating since silk worms are so high in water content.

did you know silk worms are extremely high in protein? one of the highest protein % available.

also silk worms have an enzyme in their body that helps the absorption of calcium!

If he hasn’t pooped yet..continue with the baths and give him a few drops of Mineral oil or Olive oil...
