 Will two female frilled dragons fight

i dont know if my dragon is a female or male im pretty sure its a male cause of the size of the head and how long he is and from where i bought him somebody bought the other one so i couldnt by the pair but if it isnt a male and i get two females will they fight

No they usually will not fight just keep an eye on them for the first few hours after that you should be good.

k thanks i just didnt want to risk me getting a male and than the one i have right now is a male i didnt want them fighting so i will just stick with getting a femal thanks

i have a 11 month old frill who is in with a 5 month old male and a 6 month old female. just recently the males have become more... quiet.. and hiding. the female hasnt changed.

i believe there is stress between my 2 male frills. but seeing as they are both still young and never aggressive towards eachother, i dont expect to see a fight. but none the less i do not recomend it. there is defiantly stress there. and thats why i am rehoming my younger male frill. they are both eating great and all that... just could be happier ya know what i mean?

putting another frill in with your female is ok. I think what she is saying is she has 3 frilled in the same cage 2 males and 1 female 1 is smaller than the other male even though there is no actual fighting yet the bigger male is stressing out the smaller male that is hiding all the time. you can add another to your cage if you know you have a female..

actually both males are showing signs of stress. not horrible they still eat and all that.


in all honesty. you must know your female well. and know the other female well too. you must know that both of them do not suffer from stress to begin with. they both have to be low stress level individuals.

if you start out with them both young thats GOOD!!! but if you get an older one that has been by itself for a while. then you might be at risk for territory issues. or added stress.

over all you have to use your best judgment knowing your own frill and get to know the new frill before introducing them together........

from day one all the frills i have were separated. and one by one i put them together and watched them and was satisfied that every one was eating.

oh i see now ya my frill eats good and she is still pretty young like probably her body length is probably 5-6 inch she is still pretty young and i asked the pet stor if they could find a female around the same length and they said they would try and they would probably get one so im just kinda waiting but after i look at my frill it looks like a male but than agin it looks like a female like her frill has some yello on it and its down to its showlers idk there pretty confusing on telling what sex they are

check my post lower in this section about sexing. its obvious to see if its a male. and if it looks like a female it may not be 100% untill reached full maturity. but if its a male right off the batt you’d know it. males have lumps on their tail after their vent. though some males take time to mature and for those lumps to apear hence why females are still 50/50 chance of being males
