http://www.reptaid.com/ this will help them. but do not administer to much of this cuz it can harm them. use as directed. 2nd. what the heck are you doing!? frills are way more senitive to stress more so then alot of other reptiles!!! did you make sure to not get the mite treatment near their vents, near there mouth. and eyes an nose? you must change the water in their enclosure 2-3 times a day for several days or weeks because if they hop in the water they will deliver the mite chemical into the water and ingest it. or if you got it on their vent they can absorb it and become slightly sick for a few days. you need to go to a vet. you need to get baytril oral antibiotic. you also probably have to administer chicken baby food and flukers emergency care daily and maybe even liquid calcium depending on what the vet says is wrong with them. this is going to cost you ALOT of money, and take a long time to are you ready for this? if your willing to spend the money we will be able to help you here. but we need to know a few things first how large are the frill dragons, what size enclosure are you using, glass screen or home made? what type of lights are you using . please tell us brand name , wattage and uvb level. what is your previous experience with reptiles what do you keep currently and how long have you been into reptiles. you have your hands full. i hope you are ready. im not tryingg to scare you i am trying to help you the best i can but you must be aware of the truth first!!! |

Welcome to the forum, Awww those poor frills...but it sounds like they are in good hands now.....Hats off to you for rescuing them On the mites what you can do is give them an iodine bath..just make the bath water tea colored and let them soak for about 20 minutes in the warm iodine bath do this for about a week....Not to sure what kind of stores you have over in the UK but you can find it (iodine) in a drug store or pharmacy...you may have to ask around to find it... Most likely the yellow stuff is build up of old shed and residue from the mites....after their bath, dry them off real good and rub them down with some mineral oil or olive oil....this won’t hurt them at all it will help with the dry skin and also help with the mites...(it suffocates them) Just for a quick run down.... What’s the size of their viv? What are your temps & humidity levels? Are they eating? if yes what is their diet? Sorry for all the questions..... Annie......>^..^< |
