yes it should be fine. make sure you can adiquetly heat the whole unit. you want 80 degrees no less inside entire enclosure durring the day, basking of as much as 110-115 even. 110 is good though. i would say u may need 3-5 bulbs in there to keep it warm. you also cant let the humidity go to low. 45 % is low. 65 is avarage. 75% is GREAT. this is a must because frill dragons have really sensitive thin skin. how much research have you done about frill dragons. how long have you been keeping reptiles. and what kind of reptiles are you usto keeping. frill dragons are very sensitive and can often die of stress or simply stop eating thus dieing of dehydration and other things. u should set up your enclousre and make it perfect, THEN bring home the dragon. i say this simply out of my own horrible sad experience with my first frill dragon who was an import and eventually died after a few months. please read this forum carefully there is ALOT of really really good info in this section that is fairly easy to sort threw :) |

just make sure you cover the front for first week or up to 2 months or longer. i recommend getting a small hatchling and completely avoiding ANY imported. those are the WORST!!! if you get a small hatching you can raise it in a 20 gallon long for 2-3 months untill it gets usto you. the large enclosure may make it hard to find food and water and might intimidate the lil thing and stress it to much.. know what i mean? if buying online always ask if its captive bread, imported/farm raised or long term captive i cant stress this enough how important it is. if long term captive ask the age and how long it captive. long term captives that were imported as hatchings and kept at least 4-5 months old have a very good rate of being just fine considering they survived that long. but there are numerous captive bread so i dont think you’ll have issue finding any. |
