Well that all depends on your day & night time temperature in your enclosure. In the wild they really don’t hibernate theres just less food for them during their winter which is the dry season and daytime temperatures are still in the 80’s and low 90’s and at night time high 70’s to low 80’s during the winter for them.

room temperature in my house is about 75 degrees in the day and 70 at night.

one of 3 of my adult females slow down durring the winter, with out any change to her enclosure or light cycle, i think they can sense barometric pressures or something.

this year she’s super sleepy. she’s now about 3 years old. i put her into an enclosure that has a 75 watt bulb on top and a uvb light on top. i set it up so the enclosure has alot of shaded areas . its a 16x16x24 tall screen enclosure with screen replaced with thick poly plastic to help hold humidity.

she hasnt really moved since she started snoozing in october. she will drink if i mist her, she will eat if i offer food, which is once or 2 times a week if that. lately she seems less interested in food.

the way to tell if your dragon is sick, is to monitor its body weight. a sick dragon will start to loose weight. a healthy dragon should stay round and plump during brumation.

best thing is to let them sleep. but also make sure you give them water by misting occasionally (i mist every other day)

this is just what i do. you should look up online and get more info on preperation and what not, just please, dont put your dragon in a shoe box :)
