they need lots of things to climb on and plenty of hides. Can you show a pic or tell us what your set up is like? |

How is it doing eating? How many crickets has it eaten? Do you feed daily or every other? To keep the humidity in you can cover the screen with scaran wrap or glass. How big is the tank? Does it have plenty of high places to hide? I know you discribed your tank in another post, but i’m trying to keep this all together so, maybe I can help you. |

If your sure your temp and humidity is right, then that is the only thing I can think of that might be the problem. That could really be stressing them out. |

Just wanted to add that they take a few days to settle in .... put some crickets in the tank..not many and insure the crickets have food in the viv like fish flakes as they are safe if ingested by the frogs...place on a small jar lid... Try to leave him alone or take looks without disturbing his envioronment to much....Just changing water etc.... Try to do this at the same time each day this will help expect routine and doesn’t continually shock him by surprise... misting too.... Insure that you only mist lightly and that its on the plants, glass and decorations...never the frog or it will be like a cold shower... Insure lights are being turned on and off same times each day....(this takes away element of surprise) Take a garbage bag..black and tape it to back and sides of the tank.... This makes it darker... they feel safer if 3 sides are covered...no predator can sneak up on them with this method in their view... Insure he has good hiding spots... Red eyes do better with lots of cover and diffused lighting by putting plants up high to make the tank darker at the substrate...jungle like... Also Red eyes are a group frog and do better kept in a group.... Do you only have one?... Singly they will stress...3 is better if possible.... As Whitie said....guages will save you alot of headaches, vital for amphibian care... Temp guage should be on the warm side 3/4 the way up on the glass and the humidity guage 1/2 way up on same side... HOPPY |
