How often to clean tank/ change substrate for Pacman I just got a 2 year old pacman from a friend of a friend. I have him in a ten gallon tank with about 2-3 inches of cocofiber if you spread it out evenly across it, I also have a rather large, shallow soaking dish (about 1/4 of the floor space, and its on the warm side) with water in it at all times. I laid paper towels down on the glass and misted them, then spread the coco fibers on top of that and mist them daily. I wash out the water dish daily. And he pooped the other day and I took it out and the surrounding inch or so radius of substrate. All the water I use in the tank is treated/conditioned with reptisafe.
How often should I change out all the substrate? How often should I actually clean the tank out with water/some sort of cleaning solution (like vinegar)?

How often to clean tank/ change substrate for Pacman or if the substrate starts to need topping off from too much spotcleaning. Mixing new substrate with old substrate gives you old substrate, so if it’s time to add it’s time to start fresh.

How often to clean tank/ change substrate for Pacman A little more than that. Spot cleaning means whenever you see a turd or dead cricket or weird-looking spot of substrate, you take out a whole handful around it, to minimize spread of bacteria, spores, pinworm eggs, ammoniates, and so forth.
