or anthing I put anti biotics on it and wrap it in paper towels Then I put repti aid on and cove it all up with calcium supplement (my secret secret to healing herps) repeat, repeat...etc. And its ACTUALY dong better and active (skin growing back) thank yall |

and if the lizard is that bad off, just do it a favor and put it to sleep.. if there is no mouth and the brain is exposed the animal is suffering.. and why the hell are you putting calcium powder on a wound like that!?!?! take it to a vet where they actually know what they are doing..  |

I dedicate my life to save this FROG and you through it in MY FACE and if you think a leopard frog is a lizard than that shows You must not know much about frogs I spent over 100 green backs to save this frogs life which obviosly YOU dont care about and if YOU recomend killing animals Than get off this website.... Children get on here to learn and see positive things about reptiles and I put all my energy into taking care of my 600 reptiles and amphibians and your telling me to kill it!?! since you dont care about the lives of animals than once again.... get off this website or dont encourage this! If anyone says something like that again to me I might just explode. Thankyou everyone else for replying. and some one asked how a conn ripped part of its head off... well coons eat frogs and I guess it grabbed him and bit him and the frog managed to get away. and thankyall again who did not attack me or throw it in my face. |

really now? then you wouldnt mind enlightening us on just what "thing" it is that you teach Vets? i am not condoning killing animals, however, if the animal had its head ripped open to the point where the brain was visible, then yes, i would highly suggest euthanasia for the frog... i will apologize for the original statement that i made, as it was late and i could have sworn that your post originally said "leopard gecko". but that is all that i will apologize for. |

anyway, it’s kind of you to put all that effort into saving a frog. It would also be kind to just put the frog out of it’s misery since that sounds like an extremely painful and crippling injury to endure. Either way it would be doing what you feel is best for the frog, and it’s way better than just leaving it to die a slow painful death outside. Nobody wants to attack you just for the sake of attacking you, we all just want to make sure the frog is getting the best possible treatment...whatever that is. Good luck, I do hope the frog makes as close to a full recovery as possible. |

Here are the steps I went through. smear anti biotics and other medicens on piece of paper towl and put it in the wound. than I used several drops of Repti Aid Wound Healing drops on the paper towl (which leaked into the wound but not soaking it) into the wound AND THIS IS where the calcium comes in.... I padded it on the paper towl covered in medicen which prevents air flow and keeps out infections. Just to clear that up... Reptilefreak23 |
