It looks like a mexican tree frog.

It is probably best to release it...hard to take care of and very timid

Nice... butiful frog usualy hard to catch...

Like it alot!

It is a Smilisca baudinii, carefull with the temperature. Tropical humidity, they dont need light heat, just try a way to make a termostate heat the water and the water can spash to a rock with a waterfall.
We have a lot of these, so, look for a mate, and reproduce them to sell them, one of this days there will be none, if you keep it with a responsible attitude, will be a great pet. Agatha

We have them as pets because right now there is some available for us to have..

If we all took from the wild there would be no generations to follow so would leave nothing for pets.

The pet industry is closely governed on removel of amphibians by permits and liscenses, imports, exports, and quantity etc....

As respectable hobbyists the idea is to understand the plight amphibians face today with habitat loss and envioronmental factors etc....

It goes with understanding that MOST PEOPLE that remove amphibians out of the wild do so without knowledge of the care required or experience in keeping, caring, or breeding of each individual species...

As shown above; this person that posted doesn’t even know the species....

For the sake of the survival of the species you have in your possession, please place it back near where you retrieved it... Buy captive bred in future after you have done some research....
