Pac man
The most common/simple reason for water dish stay is too warm.... There is of course many reasons but it would be best if you could give a break down of his tank or even pics..
Insure his temps are in line etc first...
Is he eating and waste normal?

Pac man
i kept it real simple. he has a hiding spot, and a water dish. the substrate is eco earth. temp stays around 70 most of the time, but since i do live in arizona it gets real hot around here. so that might be a good reason why he is chillin in the bowl

Pac man If it’s 70 most of the time he’s probably constipated. They’ll often sit in water to try to loosen up if they’re having trouble. He should have a base temperature of 74-79, depending on which species he is (as well as whether he read the right book or not; I had a Cranwell’s for ten years that thrived best when kept at Surinam temperatures, so take all suggested numbes with a grain of salt and watch your frog’s individual behavior) as well as a small warmer area that’s 82-86.
