i want a frog and was wondering what a quite species of frog (not a fully aquatic frog, like a tomato frog or something) that is quiet and can eat mealworms.

Any frog can eat mealworms but not as a steady diet. They don’t have any nutritional value.

As for one that is quiet, I don’t know of one.

i guess i mean one that doesn’t sit there and screem all night and mealworms have nutritional value if you gut load them.

meal worms are not a good staple for amphibians as they are too hard to digest..

crickets, roaches or phoenix worms are a good staple.

as a treat, cultured wood louse, spring tails ( for smaller frogs ) and waxworms are also good for a varied diet...

well most frogs eat mealworms and earthworms, but as a staple you should really be feeding crickets, with the worms as maybe a once a week treat type thing.
pacman frogs are pretty quiet, from what I understand they can hiss at you when bothered, though I’ve never heard one make any noise personally.

you found one in your pool??!! where do you live, are they common in your area? I wonder how it got there...
anyway they do make good pets, they don’t need too much space, they’re quiet, don’t cost much to feed, and are fun to watch. I like them.
